Rebecca is a 3 times ‘Outstanding’ Registered Childminder, Early Years Trainer and Consultant based in Worthing, West Sussex with over 16 years’ experience in the Early Years sector. Rebecca is a staunch advocate of play based, child-centred education and childcare. This philosophy is at the centre of her childminding and training businesses and a message she shares widely as an active member of the Early Years community.
After qualifying as a teacher and following a successful bookselling career Rebecca embarked on her new adventure as a Childminder after her son was born. She soon realised she had found her niche and has continued to enhance her Early Years role, achieving Early Years Professional Status and working as a Network Coordinator; crèche supervisor; EYP mentor; day nursery practitioner; researcher; National Day Nurseries Association associate trainer; Solihull Approach facilitator; freelance trainer; and author for Practical Pre-school’s ‘Child Care’ Magazine, whilst continuing to childmind. Rebecca’s keen interest in supporting and enthusing others led to her co-founding a thriving local childminding association, ’Magic Minders’. Rebecca is currently part of the West Sussex Early Innovator team, exploring ways in which the 30 hours childcare policy might be effectively implemented. |
